10 Days Morocco Tour from Tangier – Imperial cities – Desert

Day 1: Arrive at Tanger

After we meet you at the airport or ferry terminal, we will drive to a hotel in Tanger.

Day 2: Tangier – Chefchaouen.

On the second day, you will have breakfast at your accommodation in Tanger before w drive you to the brilliant city of Chefcouen. It is nicknamed The Blue City because of its blue buildings, houses, and walls. Chefcouen has always been one of the best and popular attractions for tourists for its beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. It is famous for its Andalusian architecture and being located in the wonderful Rif Mountains. In the medina, you will have the chance to walk through its amazing blue alleyways along traditional shops of handmade crafts. Dinner and overnight at a local hotel/riad.

 

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Fes

On the third day of this tour, we will leave the lovely Chefchouen and drive towards Fes. This medieval city is the oldest city in Morocco where you will get to visit interesting sites and wonderful monuments including the Royal Palace, Al Karaouine Mosque and University (the first established university in the world) and Moulay Idris 2 tomb (the founder of the city in the 8th century). Then, we will have lunch at one of the local restaurants before we continue our visit to explore the medina of the city and walk through its authentic markets, visit the Nejjarine Fountain, the gateway of the medina Bab Boujloud, the Batha Museum and Palace. Overnight and dinner at a hotel/riad.

Day 4: Fes – Meknes – Ifrane – Azrou- Merzouga

Today’s destination after leaving Fez is Merzouga. We will travel through the amazing Middle Atlas Mountains where we will make a stop to visit Cedar Forests near the small town “Azrou”. After an amazing time enjoying the beautiful woodland and watching the monkeys playing around, we will continue our journey until we stop in Midelt for having lunch. Then, we proceed with our tour through the breathtaking Ziz Valley and Tafilaet oasis until we reach Merzouga Desert. After taking a short while to rest and have a cup of Moroccan mint, we experience a camel trek towards the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi where you will have dinner and spend an unforgotten night in a comfortable nomad tent under the shiny and endless stars.

Day 5:Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Tazarine – Zagora

 Today, you will get up early to watch the captivating sunrise over the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi before we ride camels going back to Merzouga where you will have breakfast and take a refreshing shower. Then, we leave Merzouga and drive to visit the palm groves of Tafilalet and the town of Rissani (the oldest Alouite dynasty in Morocco). The journey continues with driving to the village of Alnif where you will have lunch. Afterwards, we will drive to Zagora via Tazarine, the beautiful N’Kob oasis and Tansikht. Then, the journey takes its path along popular Draa River towards Zagora. Overnight and dinner at a hotel/riad in Zagora.

Day 6: Zagora – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Having breakfast in Zagora Desert will be followed by driving to Ouarzazate along the stunning Draa Valley and thousands palm trees. Our day will proceed with traveling via the amazing Berber village Agdez. Then, we will be crossing the Anti-Atlas traveling through the fascinating pass Tizi N’Tinifit (2660 feet at elevation). After that, we will drive to Marrakech through the landscapes and views Tizi N’Tichka Pass. Dinner and overnight at a riad/hotel in Marrakech.

Day 7: Marrakech – Essaouira

After having a nice breakfast at your accommodation, you will be guided to visit Marrakech’s sites and monuments. This today’s program begins with visiting Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, and the majestic Bahia Palace. Then, we will make our way to visit the Souk of Marrakech walking through the narrow streets along the shops where all kinds of flavors are sold, handmade crafts, traditional clothes….

After having a nice lunch at a local restaurant, we will drive to the lovey city of Essaouira. This city has witnessed many civilizations and occupations over centuries such as the Portuguese and Romans. In fact, its Portugues name is Magdor which means wall. Besides that, it is a cultural city where the Gnawa Festival is held yearly. In this historical city, you will have the opportunities many sites including the Medina, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Ramparts. Also, you may want to visit the authentic port of Essaouira, where you can have fresh seafood for lunch, and take a walk along the windy beach (one of the surfers’ attractions around the world).

Overnight and dinner at a hotel/riad.

 

Day 8: Essaouira – Safi – El Jadida – Casablanca

Safi is our destination after having breakfast at your accommodation. This small town is well-known for having the country’s Sardine fishing port and its pottery. Afterwards, we will drive to Oualidia traveling through the coastal way with its wonderful view and make stop for having lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, we will drive you to El Jadida that is famous for its amazing resorts and beaches. In this city, we will guide you to visit the citadel that goes back to the Portuguese occupation in the 16th century. Then, we drive to Casablanca where you will spend the night and have dinner at a local hotel.

Day 9: Casablanca – Larache – Asilah – Tánger

After breakfast, we will be driving along the Atlantic to the beautiful Asilah. After visiting this small and blue town, we will continue our journey to Tanger. Spending the afternoon visiting the city before you go the hotel where you will have dinner and spend the rest of the evening.

Day 10: End of the Tour

You will be driven to the airport or ferry terminal after having breakfast.
