3 Days tour From Marrakech to Merzouga Desert
Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Dadès Gorges
This 5-day tour starts from Marrakech. After leaving The Red City in the morning, we will travel through the popular High Atlas Mountains crossing the pass of Tizi N’Tichka. We will drive along several Berber villages before we visit Kasbah Telouet where you will have a guided tour to this amazing site. Then, we head to visit Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site where several Hollywood movies have been shot (Gladiator, Prince of Persia…). Having lunch in Ait Ben Haddou or Ouarzazate will be followed by driving towards Dades Valley where you will spend the night at a riad/hotel.
Day 2: From Dadès Gorges to Merzouga
Merzouga is our destination after having breakfast at Dades Valley. You will travel via Tinjdad, Jorf, Erfoud and other Berber villages scattered alongside the road. After reaching the unique Oasis of Tafilalet, you will start feeling the Sahara Desert. Then, we will ride camels towards the dunes of Erg Chebbi experiencing an amazing camel trek. After enjoying a great view of the sunset over the golden sand dunes and taking some lovely photos, we will spend the overnight at a nomad tent which is provided with all what you need.
Day 3: Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After watching the captivating sunrise over the high dunes, you will be guided back to Merzouga riding camels. In Merzouga, you will have a nice breakfast and be able to take a refreshing shower. Then, we will make our way towards Ouarzazate traveling via Berber shops where you can purchase souvenirs (fossils, lamps, leather, carpet, rosewater…). After reaching Ouarzazate, we will drive back to Marrakech.
